Description
A complete and assembled T48 Eprom Adapter, including a 48 pin ZIF Socket. (Not suitable for TL866 Family)
Like the above, complete but as a DIY Kit.
This T48 Eprom Adapter supports Eproms of the following type : 27C322 (4Mx8-bit), 27C160 (2Mx8-bit), 27C800 (1Mx8-bit) 27C400 (512kx8-bit).
Converts the mask- EP- EEP- ROM pinouts of the above parts to the JEDEC pinout of 27C4096 EPROMs (as supported by T48 USB programmer, and possibly other cheap programmers too).
The T48 programmer is supported through its MiniPro software by selecting '27C4096' device and disabling 'Check ID'. You may also like to reduce VPP Voltage to 12.50V (check your device data sheet).
T48 Eprom Adapter with support for 27C400 / C800 / C160 / C322 Eproms
Since the T48 has only a 40-pin programming socket, the extra address pins on 27C800 27C160 are configured manually on the Eprom Adapter via a Digital rotary encoder or via dip switches:
In case of the digital encoder:
select 0,1 for 27C800, select 0,1,2,3 for 27C160, select 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 for 27C322
(For 27C400 each setting works)
In case of the dipswitches :
27C400 : no need to set dip switch, program all 512kB in one pass.
27C800 : program in 2 512kB passes: Rotary set to 0 (bank 1), then Rotary set to 1 (bank 2)
27C160 : program in 4 512kB passes: Rotary set 4 times to 0,1,2,3 (banks 1,2,3,4)
27C322 : program in 8 512kB passes: Rotary set 8 times to 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7 (banks 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)
Since 27C322 is a slightly different pin-out to the other devices, there are 2 jumpers that need to be set accordingly to support 27C322 devices. (only when programming the C322 eproms)
This design is based on the work of Keir Fraser, Sadly the TL866 adapter he designed does not fit the T48 Eprom programmer.
Looking for the TL866 adapter ?, it can be found here.
