Screw set Amiga 1200
If you buy a second-hand Commodore Amiga 1200 nowadays , there is a good chance that screws are missing or have been replaced by screws that do not fit or poorly fit.
The screws on the front of the Amiga in particular are very tight, if they are too long you will get so-called pimples (bulges that are discolored because the housing cannot handle the length of the screws) at the top of your Amiga housing.
I have a set of screws that make it possible to provide the amiga with suitable screws of the correct size.
Screw set Amiga 1200, different sizes
The A1200 screw set consists of the following sizes:
2 x 8mm (M3) for use on the outside rear
3 x 6mm for use on the outside front
2 x 8mm for use on the outside left and right side
3 x 6mm for attaching the motherboard:
(1 x at the front, 2 x on the right).
The location of the 6mm screws are indicated in the photos with a red circle, the location of the 8mm screws are indicated with a blue circle, the 8mm M3 screws with a green square.
(The yellow triangle is a screw that is screwed into a special metal clip from the outside, this screw and clip are not included!)
Depending on your revision Amiga 1200, the motherboard is secured on the right with 2 or 1 screw.
The screws have a convex head and a flattened point to prevent damage as much as possible.
Make sure you do not confuse the short and long screws, use at your own risk.
