this Gotek comes as a built in model with a special 5,25 inch bracket for assembly in a 5,25 floppy drive or CD-Rom drive bay.

I was asked if I could design and build a special Gotek that would fit directly into a 5.25 slot of a custom Amiga (in a PC case).
This resulted in a custom designed and 3D printed 5.25 inch Bracket, which allows the gotek to be mounted on a free 5.25 inch spot without any problems.
Oled Display, buzzer and Rotary encoder are mounted without the use of glue, and can be replaced without any problems if this should ever be necessary.

The design of the housing is such that all extensions can be easily mounted and dismounted, so no globs of glue, drilling holes or other nonsense.

This 5.25 Gotek with 0.96 Oled display offers you by using a larger display space for 4 lines of information instead of the 2 lines of information with the 0.91 Oled display.
You also have the option to use 3 lines of which 1 line can be shown at double size, for when you, like me, are getting older and more chicken 🙂

The drives are equipped with the latest Flashfloppy firmware, are fully tested and ready for immediate use.

The gotek now makes it much easier to use my old 8088. Previously I had to use 2 other PCs to transfer files.
Now I put an image on a USB stick and voila, my 8088 has new software. Just try something quickly.
Although a 3.5” floppy remains my favorite. Nothing beats physical media.

Highly recommended for bringing old hardware into modern life.

Translated review from the Dutch Website : De gotek maakt het nu veel makkelijker om mijn oude 8088 te gebruiken. Eerder moest ik 2 andere pc’s gebruiken om bestanden over te zetten. Nu zet ik een image op een usb stick en voila, mijn 8088 heeft de beschikken tot nieuwe software. Even snel iets proberen. Al blijft een 3.5” floppy toch mijn favoriet. Er gaat niets boven fysieke media. Een aanrader om oude hardware het moderne leven in te trekken.

Just what I was looking for

Ed really went out of his way to get me a beige printed 5.25" A2000 bay with a nice Gotek in it. Works super well on my early Rev 4 Germany 1986 board (remember to close Jumper 36 to enable DF0 and DF1).

Would buy from again without any hesitation! Recommended!
