What is the SNAP! Atari ST USB Power Cartridge?

Unlike many other computer systems of its age, the Atari ST does not really have an easily accessible power supply on one of the expansion ports, which means that you will have to supply an externally connected device with power via a different way.
This problem is solved with the Atari ST USB Power Cartridge.
External peripherals that are powered via any USB cable, now are also switched on and off simultaneously together with the Atari ST (Or any other member of the Atari ST Family)

SNAP! Atari ST USB Power Cartridge, limitations :

Even though it has USB connectors, doesn't make it a real USB interface for the Atari ST.
The SNAP! Atari ST USB Power Cartridge it's only purpose is to act as a power supply for externally connected  equipment to the Atari ST.
This is a 'dumb' interface and you will have to make sure you won't short-circuit and/or overload the power supply cartridge.
Try to keep the load at a maximum of 300 MA, then there will be no problem.

Snap (i've got the power !)

I bought one for my Atari Ste. it works very well. It's very practical, and the case is of good quality. it fits without problem into the Atari. I recommend without any problem this little box which provides many services!

Perfect companion to the external Gotek

An otherwise useless cartridge port becomes the perfect source of power for an external Gotek drive. The idea of using the port as a power source is genius. The cartridge fits perfectly without needing excessive force to put in or take out.
