Professional OFC Scartcable for the Amiga.
This Scartcable has the following features:
- length of +/- 1.40 meters.
- Molded Scart plug.
- Metal housing.
- Gold-plated contacts.
- Double shielded OFC cable.
(OFC: oxygen-free copper, for less loss, and therefore better signal transfer).
On the other hand, the Scartcable is finished with a modified DB-25 to DB-23 connector. (See picture)
(Unfortunately, after the bankruptcy of Commodore, the right to exist for the DB-23 also disappeared. To my knowledge, these connectors are not used for anything else and therefore there was no support for continued production.)
Recently, a private initiative has started that provides for the production of professional DB-23 Female connectors. Unfortunately, the price per plug is approximately 10 euros (product price, transport, import, housing)
This is a double-shielded cable that, despite its thickness, is very flexible and easy to process.
The cable supplied by me is based on the design designed, tested and motivated by Ian Stedman, published about 10 years ago.
To this day, this design (with sometimes minor adjustments) is used as a blueprint to make superior Scart cables especially for the Commodore Amiga.
This high-quality Scart cable comes with a corresponding price tag of 25 Euro excluding shipping costs.
