MSX 14 pin Gotek adapter (8235 / 8245)

Some MSX systems are not designed to accept a standard Gotek drive. The Philips VG 8235,
in particular , requires not only a Gotek drive but also a 14- to 34-pin adapter and an NMS 8245 disk ROM. Note: the 8235 also has a special disk drive size; a standard Gotek leaves a large opening in the case, while the 8245 has an industry-standard size and, of course, already has the 8245 Disk ROM on board.

What is the NMS 8245 Fast Diskrom

The NMS 8245 Fast DiskROM is basically a NMS8245 Original ROM with a Memory Counter and the Fast Disk ROM integrated.

This ROM Contains:

• Basic-Bios
• SubROM
• Fast DiskROM

The Memory counter was added specifically for people who have expanded the memory of their 8245 and shows the total available memory during boot-up.
