There are a number of systems that are not equipped to connect a Gotek drive as standard.
Previously, many systems only had 5.25 inch floppy drives, these floppy drives do not have an IDC header (Pins) but an Edge Connector (PCB contacts), so it is not real easy to connect a gotek Floppy drive to it.

In the past, when the shift was just taking place from 5.25 to 3.5 inch floppies, such adapters were reasonably available, unfortunately that is no longer the case these days.

The PCB is my own design based on some examples i had laying around.

gotek adapter for Amstrad 1512

The adapter fits perfectly and works like a charm.

In case it helps anyone else, I can confirm that this adapter works on an Amstrad 1512 with 5 1/4-inch floppy drives that need to be converted to 3.5 inches, either by installing a Gotek or a 720k floppy drive. It fits very tightly and securely.

Edge adapter for retro PCs

I've been looking for an affordable edge connector adapter for quite a while and i'm glad i found this one.

It works as expected and the service (including international shipping) is great.

Better than some original adapters

Works as expected and service is great. The narrow spacing between the power and IDC34 connectors on the GoTek is a problem if adapters are too shot and the female edge connector of the cable cannot be fitted properly. This adapter doesn't have that problem.
