Gotek 26pin Interface (Armstrad CPC664, CPC6128, Spectrum +3)
Gotek 26pin Interface (Armstrad CPC664, CPC6128, Spectrum +3) :
This is an Interface to use a Gotek drive instead of the usual disk drive in your Armstrad CPC664, CPC6128 or the Spectrum +3.

I have no experience with these machines myself, but was asked if I could provide an interface for the above-mentioned types of machines.
These machines have a different floppy connection with only 26 pins, so I did some research and came across theĀ  design of user Duke of the cpcwiki.eu forum , which can be used freely.

Application Gotek 26pin Interface (Armstrad CPC664, CPC6128, Spectrum +3) :
Split cables are also available to connect a Gotek to an Armstrad CPC 664, CPC 6128, or Spectrum +3, but I personally always find an adapter that little bit extra in terms of finish and reliability.

The interface has the following configuration jumpers :
- DRVA: A or B
- DRVB: A or B
- SIDE: Single or Double

AndĀ  a final warning:

Before you connect the Gotek to the Amstrad CPC, you should know that it has a different pin assignment for the power supply than the 'standard' floppy connector.
So you need to check that the 5v wire goes to the right place on your Gotek drive.
Usually the orange and red wires should be swapped on the floppy connector of the computer.

But Measuring is Knowing, make sure you send the 5 volts into the Gotek in the right place!

On the internet you can find nice constructions on how to 'shrink' a cable from 26 to 34 for an Amstrad/Schneider CPC/PCW 3 inch floppy drive.
Gotek.nl offers a much nicer solution. In combination with a Gotek floppy emulator this is the 'go to' solution for me.
I have a Schneider PCW 8256 myself, converted to an 8512, running on CPM3 plus.
With a little tweaking (closing the mo jumper on the gotek) and also adjusting CPM ensures that my old-school PCW can keep up with the modern times.

In addition, Eddie offers many solutions and thinks along with the customer. Very pleasant cooperation.

Heel erg prettige samenwerking.
