Connect a CD-ROM, Harddisk or Compact Flash (adapter) to your Amiga 2000.
This interface makes it possible to use an IDE harddisk, or a compact flash card via a CF-2-IDE interface on your Amiga 2000.
It is also with this interface you can use an Atapi CD-ROM drive in your Amiga 2000.
The AT-Bus 2008   was recreated by Matze of the A1k.org forum , with permission from the original designer and contains the officially obtained firmwares, is fully Autoconfig and Autobootend.

New PCB Revision, version 0.2a

The original design as done by Matze had a few quirks in my opinion.
The biggest and most annoying thing was that the card could be inserted the wrong way around without any problems.
Even though it says front and back clearly, this has been done several times by people.
I have modified the PCB and provided it with a 3D printed slot guide that makes it clearer how the card should be placed, and also keeps the card properly in place.
Furthermore, the silkscreen has been adjusted and a number of components have been moved to make assembly of the card easier.

Alfa Data AT-BUS 2008 IDE controller
  • the board is basically a 1:1 Clone of the ALF IDE controller card.
  • uses polled I/O, not DMA transfer
  • RDB compatible
  • 40 pin internal IDE header
  • place for a 3.5" hard disk on the card
  • works with ALF 2 driver software
  • during transfers the high and low bytes are swapped as the A600/A1200/A4000 and PCs do so the drives formatted with them can be handled by the AT-Bus 2008
  • hard disk activity LED connector

The Alfa Data AT-BUS 2008 (Clone) further provides dual config capability, and can use a dual BIOS in a single EPROM through a switch / jumper.
the most commonly used combination is the standard Alfa Data AT-BUS 2008 (Clone) rom version 6.10 combined with the Oktapussy Rom , which has a number of extra features (improved CD-ROM Support among others).

To enable autoboot functionality you at least need kickstart 1.3 , even better is to use a 2.x or 3.x ROM

Perfect, speedy IDE solution for a small price

I bought this for my Amiga 2000 and I use Octapussy mode (It contains 2 different BIOS ROMS in one EPROM) which works great with OS 3.1.4

On my 50MHz 030 it performs very nicely as well (2.8mb/s throughput!). Really great value for money!

AT Bus 2008 Clone review

I bought this card for my A2000 and it works perfectly. I was very surprised and pleased with the transfer speeds, almost 2,5Mbit/sec with just an 030 processor! Also communication with the seller was lightning fast and so was the shipping. Top class product and a very reliable seller, thank you very much!
